well the ship continued to send pictures of it as it passed and we now see that there are icy mountains all over the side of pluto
and granted the pictures don’t really do it justice, just think of how long it took us and how hard people worked to actually get this there. we finally get to see the end of our solar system and we finally have pictures of the giant rock that so many people have been interested in for the past decade. planet or not, i still think these are really cool

Not only to distract me from the utter shit show that was 2020, but to truly help me understand that I need to make the most of my life every single day. I’ve said before I don’t want to die feeling like I could have done more and this has just shown me that what I do is enough. And to enjoy and be proud of myself for the smallest of things because *I* did them. And I will absolutely carry this with me for the rest of my years. y’all ever have those lines in songs where, when they finally sing it, ur heart just goes !!!!! and you become very happy because that one line in particular is just so wonderfully and artfully crafted?? like sometimes it’s the tune, sometimes it’s the lyrics, sometimes it’s a key change, sometimes it’s a long note, sometimes it’s something hard to explain!! i live for these lines tbh, sometimes i’ll listen to particular songs just to hear a specific line lmao

I took my meds too close to bedtime again and I need you all to know the dream I had last night involved Robin Williams becoming the new Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts. Not, a character portrayed by Robin Williams, just Robin Williams as himself running around Hogwarts doing wandless magic and being as loud and big as possible because and I quote before I forget:
“Listen, children, I’m not saying all this bad shit that is happening isn’t scary and you shouldn’t be concerned–because you should!–but I’m telling you this now for free. I didn’t wake up right after that, some more stuff happened in a hazy sort of way as the dream began to dissolve into conciousness, but I remember him yelling Expecto Patronum as he punched a Death Eater in the face. Because sometimes, evidently, you have to make your own happy memories.
